What we do when a call comes in at SAFE...


1. You call or text, facebook message or Whatsapp.  087 4756882

2. We answer you asap.  We have a back up phone which we call "phone 2" which is diverted from "phone 1" if its not answered.

3. A SAFE trained volunteer will talk to you to devise a plan. 

4. We will either make an appointment for you with one of our IACP accredited counsellors or signpost you to a more suitable service depending on your needs.

We have a mobile unit which provides awareness of our services in local villages.  It is an information unit only for raising awareness about suicide.

About Us 

SAFE (Suicide Awareness For Everyone) Castlebellingham is a community-based mental health service established in 2022, dedicated to supporting individuals struggling with mental health challenges.

Safe the organisation was founded in response to several local tragedies, aiming to provide essential support and raise awareness about mental health issues, suicide in particular. 

SAFE Castlebellingham offers a helpline for immediate assistance, with dedicated team members available at 087 4756882 seven days a week.

Additionally, we provide a mobile unit in local villages on a regular cycle, offering information about our services without the need for an appointment.
